Ryan doesn't have to be wearing a designer suit to make us swoon! The actor looks laid-back and confident as he strolls through New York in a plaid shirt and shades on July 18.

He sure cleans up nice! Sporting a sharp, three-piece suit, the actor looks decidedly dapper at the Safe House premiere in New York on February 7.

Ryan Reynolds looks every bit the gallant leading man with his Green Lantern costar -- and future wife! -- by his side at the movie's Hollywood premiere at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on June 15, 2011. At the time the two were just friends, but it was clear Blake had a crush. "You (would be) hard pressed to find somebody more witty, charming, and funny than him," she gushed on the Today show.

Who could resist that smile? Dressed in all black, Ryan easily charms the audiences during a visit to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on August 4, 2011.

It was supposed to be just another day at the office when Reynolds had to film a steamy bedroom scene with Olivia Wilde for his 2011 comedy The Change-Up, but the studly star gave Jay Leno a humourous account of being nervous and having sweaty palms while filming it. "At the end of the scene...I'm trying not to look at her like a 14-year-old boy who just won the lady lottery," he said.

Rocking a one-button Tom Ford tux, Ryan Reynolds sent hearts aflutter when walked the red carpet at the Academy Awards in 2010. Although the dapper gent wasn't nominated for an award that night, he told MTV, "I love being here and just doing that (whole presenter thing). That aspect is easy. I get up there, and I just have to not fall on my face."

Thankfully leaving little to the imagination, Ryan Reynolds showed the world his six-pack abs on the Summer Must List cover of Entertainment Weekly in June 2009. When asked if he was comfortable being considered a sex symbol, he responded: "If you take any of that seriously, you need to be euthanised ASAP. There are moments when you can use that to your advantage. But it's really embarrassing. I think I fear more than anything just sounding like a complete a-hole when I have to answer that question."

Although he looks mighty good on the back of the bike, the motorcycle enthusiast claims to not really have a need for speed. "I just like to cruise," he told Men's Health in the March 2009 issue (pictured). "I like the fact that on a motorcycle, riding a motorcycle is the only thing you're doing. You can just go about your business in a low-profile way."

Catch him if you can! (We wish we could.) Movie stars may rely on stuntmen and editing to make them look good on screen, but Ryan Reynolds proved that he is a true athlete when he completed the New York City Marathon on November 2, 2008, in 3 hours and 50 minutes! Only two months after tying the knot with Scarlett Johansson, the actor ran for Team Fox, which raises money for Parkinson's disease research, in honor of his dad who has been suffering from the disease for more than 15 years. "I ran for those who can't," he has said.

What's even hotter than Ryan Reynolds? Ryan Reynolds playing a superhero! The actor shows off his special powers in the 2011 blockbuster Green Lantern. The hunky star described his character to the Los Angeles Times as "a guy who knows how to throw a punch and kiss a girl and tell a joke. He deals with dark things, but it's not a dark film." We're sold!

Despite their onscreen chemistry and witty banter in The Proposal, Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock were (sadly) never an item. The subject of many romance rumors, they posed together at the People's Choice Awards in January 2010, but Bullock later admitted to Al Roker, "I think there will be a collective sigh amongst women across the United States when I say he's not my lover. He's just an amazing friend for 10 years ... but I don't get his loving after dark."

No suit, no tie, no problem! Ryan Reynolds arrived at the MTV Movie Awards on June 5, 2011, dressed down -- and still dashing. He presented the Best Kiss award to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart and had an up-close view as Pattinson barreled down the stage and planted a wet one on Taylor Lautner. "I did not know that there would be a Twilight-on-Twilight kiss. I'd seen it in my head many times as I closed my eyes," joked Reynolds to MTV.

"I've always just liked working -- I like being a working actor," he once admitted to Entertainment Weekly. This may be hard to believe, but the handsome actor wasn't always the good-looking guy he is today -- at least according to him. "A friend of mine told me to smile more, It's good advice," Reynolds told People. "I smile, but not enough. I've been working so much I have my game face on."

It's not all leading ladies and rom-coms for the well-rounded Ryan Reynolds, who played an American truck driver in Iraq who gets trapped in a coffin in the 2010 film Buried. The actor (pictured at an L.A. press conference for the movie on September 8, 2010) came out of the role stronger. "I definitely felt like I emerged from the box as a different person than the one that went in," he told Parade. "For all of the difficulties and challenges in shooting a movie as different than this, it was a great experience. Anything at the time that I thought was insurmountable or incredibly difficult, the scars and things, are just spoils of war."
