Kim Kardashian talks about plans for her next wedding
Kim Kardashian just can't help herself. Despite her drawn-out divorce battle with husband Kris Humphries, the reality star (now dating Kanye West) remains a die-hard romantic. In the November issue of London's Tatler magazine, Kardashian models white dresses and talks about her future wedding plans.
"Next time, I want to do it on an island with just my friends and family and that's it," says Kardashian, 31.
However, she's not apologising for her extravagant second wedding, which was televised during an E! special.
"It had always been my dream to have a big wedding, and when people said that I'd made it over the top for the show, that was just me: I am over the top," she explains.
As for Humphries' contention that she just married him as a ratings gimmick? "It's not like the ratings had dropped and we needed a boost," she points out. "Never mind other peoples' emotions -– who would mess with their own emotions in that way? And for me to do it and have it not work out was the most embarrassing thing."
It certainly was. But Kim's current relationship with Kanye, a longtime friend, seems to have been built on more solid ground.
"It's so nice to have a best friend in this game who understands everything you're going through," she says of the rapper. "He's been there through so many different stages of my life and before I was famous, so this relationship is a different thing entirely. It's good to be aware that he definitely doesn't want anything from me too, because he understands the business."
Is he The One, then? Kim thinks he is -- but then, she was sure the others were too.
"I can't even think about being with anyone else than the man I'm with," she admits. "When I look back at interviews I gave [about previous boyfriends] saying, 'We're talking about marriage, etc.,' it's embarrassing. And I really believed it at the time! I'm such a hopeless romantic that I'll always believe the next one is The One."
