Scouring India for the best butter chicken

There are no words adequate to describe India. It is a sensory experience that must be felt.

It’s the perfumed air of incense burning, it’s the medley of spices on your tongue, it’s the beauty of women draped in brilliant pink saris, it’s the incessant sound of blaring horns, it’s dodging mud, cow dung and garbage as you walk, it’s getting constantly ripped off (for me anyway), it’s friendly chatter with locals over freshly brewed masala chai, it’s seeing a 27 storey house built for one billion dollars and entire families living in poverty on the pavement below, it’s washing yourself in holy water that’s polluted, it’s witnessing the happiness in the Dalai Lama’s smile.

All of these things and much more happened to me over the last month when I was travelling through India, soaking up the culture, religion, food and people. I had an incredible time and am truly grateful for all the colourful experiences India shared with me. I’ve included some photos, that are naturally food-centric, to pass on to you…
