Dancing around the world. This video will make you smile
You mightn’t recognise Matt Harding’s name, but you will definitely recognise his dancing.
While on holiday in Vietnam in 2005, Matt performed his signature “stupid dance” on the streets of Hanoi while his friend videoed him. Thinking it looked pretty funny, Matt proceeded to repeat the performance in every destination he visited and posted the results online. That first video now has over 40 million views. Seven years, numerous viral videos and a handful of high-profile advertising campaigns later, he’s known around the world as ‘the guy that dances’.
As his latest video shows, the Dancing Matt phenomenon has evolved into something greater than a man dancing in front of tourist attractions. By mingling with locals and attempting to learn some of their moves, Matt shows that humanity, in all its shapes, sizes and colours, is just like one big family. We defy you not to get goosebumps when you watch this.
