The baron lands of Antarctica are no longer reserved for the eyes of explorers. The South Pole is the latest subject of Google's bid to capture the world's greatest wonders among the ancient world through panoramic views and detailed footage.

“The average person can’t see what these things are like,” said Google Asia Pacific communications manager David Marx.

“What’s cool is not just having a photo of it but being able to walk around it and being able to explore it.”
