2. Next, create a side part and begin twisting the front of your hair from the side-part all the way over to your ear. Make sure to twist in the direction that’s away from your face, and let loose strands fall naturally.
3. Repeat on the other side of your hair.
4. Then, once you’re done twisting both sides, secure with hair pins.
5. Finally, gather the rest of your hair back into a loose, messy bun and pin pieces as necessary.

4. Insert bobby pins along the base of the bun, securing it to your head. Shake your head from side to side to make sure the bun is secure.
5. Finish by spraying all over with a firm holding hairspray and smooth down flyaways.
DIY Looped Updo
This elegant looped updo is the perfect hairstyle for special occasions -- it's guaranteed to glam up your look and turn heads no matter where you wear it. Best of all, it's easy to do with our step-by-step tutorial!
1. First, tie your hair into a ponytail that rests halfway between the nape of your neck and the top of your head.
2. Take a section of hair at the top of the ponytail and tuck it forward with a pin to keep it out of the way for now. Divide the rest of the ponytail into 6 to 8 equal sections.
3. Now, starting from the left, take each section of hair, one at a time, and gently twist it under to create a big loop and secure the loop with a bobby pin.
4. Next, unclip the top section, and divide it into 4 equal sections.
5. Again, working from left to right, take one section at a time and tuck it around your finger to form a tighter loop. Pin the loop to secure it above the larger loops you created first.
6. Repeat the process with the other three sections of hair. Remember, these four small loops should rest above the lower, bigger loops. Finish the look by spraying with hairspray to keep your style looking polished and neat.

Looking for a ponytail hairstyle that boosts your regular look? Liven up the traditional ponytail with bubble sections.
1. First, pull your hair into a single, sturdy ponytail. Secure the ponytail with an elastic band at its base.
2. Tease out the length of the ponytail with a comb, starting at the base near the elastic band.
3. Next, tie another elastic band around the ponytail, about a third of the way down from the ponytail’s base. Fasten another elastic band a little more than 2/3 of the way down from the ponytail’s base. Your ponytail should now be divided into three equal lengths, sections.
4. Finally, slide each of the two elastic bands up toward the base of the ponytail, allowing them to travel no more than half an inch. This should cause your hair to bunch up and create the ‘bubble’ effect.
DIY Braided Chignon
A few sweet braids give this simple chignon a flirty, whimsical look. Learn how to do an easy braided chignon.
1. First, gather your hair and tie it into a low ponytail, at the base of your neck.
2. You can either part your hair in the middle or at the side, or simply brush it straight back. Stiffer hair will give your hair a formal look, while loose hair around your face will make it look casual.
3. Next, braid the hair in your ponytail and then secure the end with another coated hair band.
4. Then, start coiling the braided ponytail around the base of the ponytail.
5. Finally, as soon as the ponytail makes one complete circle around the base of the ponytail, use pins to attach it to the back of your head.
DIY Bouncy Ponytail
Does your ponytail need a little lift and volume? Add bounce to your ponytail with just a few extra steps.

2. Then, place a little styling wax between your fingers and apply to some strands to add definition.
3. Section off a large portion of your hair on either side of your head. You will add this hair into the ponytail afterward.
4. Next, smooth the back of your hair & pull the hair up at the same time into a very high ponytail that sits just behind your head’s crown area. Secure the ponytail with a clear hair band.
5. Take the two side pieces that were left out earlier and smooth them out using a small brush.
6. Finally, wrap one piece under the high pony and secure with hair pins. Repeat the same method to the side.

2. Next, pull you hair back into a high ponytail and secure with elastic at the crown of your head.
3. Place the sock at the very end of your ponytail and pull strands through the hole in the center.
4. Then, starting in the front, smooth you hair over the sock doughnut, tucking the ends of your hair underneath it. Try to disperse the hair evenly around the doughnut.
5. When you reach the base, fill in the gaps in the bun’s structure by gently spreading your hair out.
6. Finally, tidy up the loose ends and strands of hair by pinning them around the base of your already tucked bun.

Tousled hair styles are stylish, sexy, and add volume to your look. Using just a barrette, try this tousled sweep for a look that has texture and volume.
1. Start by misting a texturizing spray onto clean, dry hair to create a matte texture
2. Lightly tease the hair on one side of your head. This will give your hair better grip and help the barrette stay put.
3. Divide your hair into two- to three-inch sections, using clips to secure the hair you are not working on.
4. Create a side part using the highest point of one eyebrow as a guide, and sweep the front of your hair across your forehead toward the side you teased.
5. Gather hair and clip it into a barrette at eye level.
DIY Chignon Twist
This easy chignon is a no-fuss way to pull off an elegant look
1. Start by parting your hair or simply brushing it straight back. Gather your hair and tie it into a low ponytail at the base of your neck. Remember, stiffer hair will give your chignon a formal look, while loose hair around the face will make it more casual.
2. Twist the hair in your ponytail. You can either twist the hair as a whole in a single section or divide it into separate section and then wrap them around each other in a spiral.
3. Now, secure the end of the twisted hair with another coated hair band.
4. Start coiling the twisted ponytail around the base of the ponytail.
5. As soon as the ponytail makes one complete circle around the base, use pins to attach it to the back of your head.

1. First, add a texturizing product to your hair to give it a little grip.
2. Next, divide your hair in half and tie it in a double knot.

DIY Twisted Updo
This elegant twisted updo is simple to achieve.
1. Start by sectioning the hair in two parts
2. Take one section in the front, then pull it over and twist it back.
3. Repeat this on the other section.
4. Pin both twists together by criss crossing the bobby pins.
5. Grab the remaining hair and twist it all the way down and secure with an elastic.
6. Now twist your hair up as if you’re putting it into a bun.
DIY Braided Headbands
Natural braided headbands are a great style when you want to keep your hair comfortably out of your face.
1. First, clip up a section on one side - parallel with the arch of your eyebrow.
2. Next, separate a section 2 by 2, right behind the top of your ear.
3. Loosely braid the section in one direction to maximize the length of the braid.
4. Secure braid with an elastic.
5. Wrap the braid around the head to the other side.
6. Use bobby pins to secure the end behind your ear.
DIY Basic Blowdry
Getting a salon-style blowdry comes down to following a few stylist-approved strategies.
1. Start by gently towel-drying your hair.
2. Next, blow dry with the nozzle removed until the hair is no longer soaking wet. Apply a straightening balm and hydrating cream on dry ends. Heat-protective styling products are also an excellent choice.
3. Divide your hair into two- to three-inch sections, using clips to secure the hair you are not working on.
4. Start with the sections in the back. Blow-drying your entire head can be hard on the arms, and the back of the head is the toughest part to reach. Underlying layers that are not dried completely will result in frizzy hair.
5. Place the large round brush at the base of the hair section, close to the scalp, and situate the dryer so that the brush is parallel to the nozzle. This will allow the heat to hit the hair evenly. Run the brush down the length of the hair, following with the dryer. You may have to redo certain areas, like the ends. TIP: After a section is completely dry, check for dampness by pressing your palm against it. Your hair should be bone-dry before you move on to the next section. For areas where you want more lift or body, like the crown, be sure to position the hair upward, away from the head, as you dry.
6. After you are done drying all your hair, use hairdressing cream, pomade, or silicon drops to smooth out the hair. Apply a small amount to your hands, rub between the palms, and apply to the ends only.
DIY Fishtail Braid
The fishtail is a cute twist on the plain old braid.
1. After brushing out your hair, pull your hair into a low ponytail and secure with a clear elastic.
2. Split the ponytail into 2 pieces.
3. Take a piece from the first side and pass it to the second side.
4. Now take a piece from the second side and pass it to the first side.
5. Continue this pattern until you reach the ends and secure with an elastic.
6. Carefully cut the elastic you used at the top of the ponytail, and you are done!
DIY Make a Tousled Bun
This tousled bun goes with just about any look.
1. First, apply texturizing cream through damp hair and let it air dry to bring out your hair’s natural consistency.
2. Once dry, use your fingers to comb your hair up into a high ponytail and secure it with an elastic.
3. Wrap ponytail into a bun.
4. Tug at the top of your head to loosen the bun a bit.
5. Keep a few strands loose around your ear to add to the messy effect.
DIY Soft and Sexy Waves
These soft and sexy waves are a lovely look for both work and play. You’ll need a blow drier and curling iron to get this style.
1. First, blow dry your hair straight, starting at the roots to boost the volume.
2. After your hair is completely dry, separate it into three sections.
3. Begin curling section by section.
4. Take a 1-inch portion of hair and wrap it around the barrel of the curling iron. Wrapping allows you to curl all the way to the root, so avoid "clipping" hair into the barrel. Release the curl after about 10 to 15 seconds. While curling, make sure to leave ends loose to avoid a crimp mark.
5. Alternate the direction of the curl as you work your way through each section.
DIY Wrapped Ponytail
The wrapped ponytail is a simple way to dress up this go-to hairstyle.
1. First, gather your hair up into a ponytail.
2. Next, section off a strand of hair from the bottom side of your ponytail that is slightly wider than your hair elastic.
3. Pull strand taut above your head.
4. Wrap the strand around the elastic as many times as it will go.
5. Secure the base with bobby pins, pushing inwards towards the ponytail to disguise them.
